Reed Switches Is Short for Dry Reed Switch. It Is a Passive Electronic Switch Component with Contacts. It Has the Advantages of Simple Structure, Small Volume and Easy Control. Its Shell Is Generally a Sealed Glass Tube, the Tube Is Equipped with Two Iron Elastic Languette Battery and an Inert Gas Called Metal RH. Usually, Two Languette Made of Special Materials in the Glass Tube Are Separated. When a Magnetic Substance Is Close to the Glass Tube, under the Action of Magnetic Field Magnetic Lines of Flux, the Two Languette in the Tube Are Magnetized and Attract Each Other, and the Languette Will Be Absorbed Together, connect the Circuit Connected by the Node. After the External Magnetic Force Disappears, the Two Languette Are Separated Due to Their Own Elasticity, and the Line Is Disconnected. Therefore, as a Line Switch Device Controlled by Magnetic Field Signals, Reed Switches Can Be Used as a Sensor for Counting, Limiting and So on (Mainly Used in the Manufacture of Door Magnet and Window Magnet in Security System), it Is Also Widely Used in Various Communication Devices. In Practical Application, Permenent Magnet Is Usually Used to Control Whether the Two Metal Sheet Are Connected Or Not, So It Is Also Called "Magnetic Tube".

Reed Switches Precautions for Use:

1. Extreme Care Must Be Taken When Shearing Or Bending the Lead Pin of Reed Switches to Avoid Damage to the Glass-Metal Seal Due to Improper Stress. Proper Clamping Tools Must Be Used

2. the Glass-Metal Seal Damage (Cracking, Leakage, Etc.) May Be Caused by Temperature and Too Long Exposure Time. Therefore, Fast and Reliable Welding Technology (Process) Must Be Adopted. The Recommended Welding Conditions Are: 280~300°C for Hand Welding and 250 to 300°C for Wave Welding.
