Vintage from the 1980s
Materials: metal, clay
Locallyin Kenya made clay-lined metal charcoal cooking stove, named Jiko.
The Kenya Ceramic Jiko is a portable, charcoal stove used for cooking.
It is made from a mild sheet metal exterior, with a ceramic internal liner.[2] The ceramic liner has holes in its base, which allows ash to fall through and be collected in the bottom of the stove. The legs and base are made of thick and strong metal.
The ceramic part of the stove is made with clay.
The Jiko ceramic stove is safe as the ceramic lining prevents the stove from getting extremely hot.
