I've been using exfoliating towels for a long while. I bring them when traveling (they fold flat) and they keep my skin smooth and fresh. This is very similar to that. If you're not used to exfoliating towels or mitts, you may find it aggressive at first. But to me it's normal.

What's really great is it's long. So you can drag it across your back without having to be too limber. You can also use a similar technique to get your lower limbs if you don't want to bend down.

You can use it with bar soap or gel soap. I find it best to bunch up and get the soap on it, then using the surface you've made, build a lather on a large and flat piece of your body, like your tummy. Once you have a lather going then you can scrub away. I keep it bunched up except for working on my back. Otherwise the lather is spread out too much for that type of scrubbing.

Rinsing is easy, just unfurl it and run it past the showerhead until clear. Then you can wring it and hang it to dry. When traveling I take a shower 12 hours before I have to pack it and it's dry by then. I ditched germ-harboring poufs ages ago and never looked back.
