How to Use the SMART SENSOR AS804 Sound Level Meter:

Powering On/Off:

• Press the power button to turn the device on.
• To turn it off, press and hold the power button for a few seconds.

Setting the Mode:

• Select between dBA and dBC modes using the mode switch.
  • dBA is typically used for measuring noise levels as perceived by the human ear.
  • dBC is useful for measuring broader sound frequencies.

Choosing the Measurement Range:

• The meter automatically adjusts to the appropriate range based on the noise level, but you can also manually adjust if needed using the Range button.

Taking Measurements:

• Hold the sound level meter facing the noise source, keeping it about 1-3 feet away for accurate readings.
• The LCD display will show the current sound level in decibels (dB).
• The device will display the measurement for a few seconds before it auto-locks, allowing you to read it more easily.

Data Hold Function:

• Press the hold button to lock the current reading on the display. Press it again to release the hold.

Using the Calibration Feature:

• If necessary, use the calibration function to adjust the sound meter’s accuracy. Follow the calibration instructions provided in the user manual.

Battery Maintenance:

• When the battery icon appears on the screen, it’s time to replace the batteries. Open the battery compartment and replace with AA batteries as required.
