TASTING NOTES:

• Color: Very intense dark gold, tending to amber.
• Aroma: Deep, penetrating aromas of fruit cake and raisins, with a background of caramelized sweet apples and soft ripe pears.
• Taste: Sweet and very soft entrance, with a slightly viscous consistency. Delicious fruit flavors emerge on the palate, including orange, intertwined with notes of honey, malt, spices and a light touch of smoke. The finish is long and round.

It is considered the second best-selling brand of Scotch whisky in the world. The distillery was founded in 1827 in Edinburgh by George Ballantine, owner of a small food and drink shop. In 2005, it was acquired by the Pernod Ricard group.
