Alisons Almond Oil is a moisturizing carrier oil with a slightly nutty scent that is derived from the crushed kernels of bitter almonds (not to be confused with Sweet Almond Oil).
This is a hydrating skin oil that is well absorbed, rich in nutrients and has a pleasant aroma. It protects and heals the skin and fights free radicals, which make it great for treating sun damage, wrinkles, fine lines and age spots.
Bitter almond oil has anti-microbial and anti-itch properties which can treat skin wounds, cuts, grazes, eczema, dermatitis and insect bites. Its ability to inhibit bacterial and fungal infections on the skin may be a result of bitter alkaline elements in the oil which are toxic to microbes.
Bitter almond oil can also be used to hydrate and strengthen hair, promote hair growth and relieve a dry or itchy scalp.
Directions for use
Use bitter almond oil as a skin moisturizer and massage it into skin wounds, grazes and any area that may be inflamed, dry or itchy. Pour some oil into your hands and rub it through your hair to treat dry and brittle hair, dandruff and split ends. Bitter almond oil contains toxic substances when ingested so it should only be used externally.
